The Programs and Activities Council (PAC) is the premier student organization for campus-wide programming. Their goal is to sponsor speakers, concerts, comedians, films, and special events that will enhance the UC community. PAC programs are sponsored by the students for the students. For the 2015-2016 school year, PAC was allotted $197,070 for the fulfillment of this goal, and student organizations may present to PAC to get programs co-sponsored The Irate 8 would like to work with the University of Cincinnati, Student Activities and Leadership Development Office, and Student Activities Board to recruit an umbrella organization of all ethnic and cultural organizations that would be funded by SACUB. Any student organization would be able to present to this organization for a co-sponsorship of a program specifically devoted to culture or diversity and inclusion initiatives.
This demand was fulfilled by the emergence of the Student Diversity and Inclusion Council, this body:
-
Supports current programming (financially and via other resources) by student organizations and identity-based centers
-
Promotes the voices and interest of communities at UC
-
Puts on its own student conferences centered around Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
-
Works in tandem with the Office of Equity and Inclusion
